When it comes to new Disney movies, there’s certainly no shortage on the horizon. Next on the packed roster is Chip ‘n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers, featuring the voices of Andy Samberg and John Mulaney, followed by Toy Story spin-off Lightyear and the sequel to Disenchanted, Enchanted. Plus, Hoax is on everything from a sequel to Indiana Jones 5 and a live-action version of The Little Mermaid. New Disney Movies: 2022
Chip ‘n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers
Now, it came out of the leftist territory. Rescue Rangers will be a hybrid live-action/animation film and will feature John Mulaney and Andy Samberg as the squeaky chipmunks. Seth Rogen is also set to make a cameo. A trailer for the film has been released, and it is a Space Jam-style mash-up of different characters and animation styles.
Light Year
Release date: June 17, 2022
now what. It’s interesting. Chris Evans is set to play Buzz Lightyear. No, not a toy. It all has to do with the astronauts in the universe on which the cargo was based. vague? Evans has cleaned it up and it transforms the lore from the original Toy Story in 25 years. Along with the second trailer, the first trailer has also been released. Lightyear is released on June 17, 2022.

Strange World
Release date: November 23, 2022
Strange World, an animated film directed by Big Hero 6 and Raya and the Last Dragon helmer Don Hall, follows the explorer family The Clades, and, according to Disney, “journey deep into an unknown and treacherous land where fictional creatures await. Huh.”

Disenchanted
Release date: Fall 2022
Amy Adams is back as Giselle in the Disney Plus sequel to Enchanted. Patrick Dempsey as Giselle’s husband Robert, James Marsden as Prince Edward, and Idina Menzel as Nancy Tremaine also return. Maya Rudolph will play the villainous Malvina, while Jayma Mays will play Ruby, Nicole Brown will play Rosalyn, Colton Stewart will play Malvina’s son, and Oscar Nunez will appear in the film in an undisclosed role. Meanwhile, Robert’s daughter Morgan will be played by newcomer Gabriella Baldacchino.

Disillusioned is a musical directed by Adam Shankman, and will take place 15 years after the original film, in which Giselle, Robert, and Morgan live in the suburbs. According to Disney, Giselle must “face the challenges that come with a new home and figure out what happiness really means to her and her new family.”
Hocus Pocus 2
Release date: Fall 2022
Coming to Disney Plus next fall, the Hocus Pocus sequel will be directed by Hairspray’s Adam Shankman. Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimi will reprise their magical roles from the 1993 original.
Pinocchio
Release date: Fall 2022
Another live-action film is Pinocchio in the works. The story of a puppet-turned-real boy is about to get a lot more real. This live-action remake has been in development for quite some time. Robert Zemeckis is directing and Tom Hanks will lead the cast. According to Deadline, Beauty and the Beast actor Luke Evans is turning to another villain as the nefarious coachman, while Cynthia Erivo is the Blue Fairy and Joseph Gordon-Levitt is the Jiminy Cricket.
