Any information on the next MCU films starring their favorite intergalactic band of misfits? The lovers expect avidly in the Guardians of the Galaxy. With James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol., the group will return to the big screen the following year. 3 and are all set to celebrate the holidays with the release of the Guardians Holiday Special later this year.

While only a handful of fortunate fans were present when GOTG Vol. 3 this summer at San Diego Comic-Con; those who weren’t there haven’t seen the video. The movie’s director, James Gunn, has said that he “know[s] exactly when” viewers will finally see the trailer; others have suggested D23 as the best location for its debut.

The fan convention for everything is taking place in Anaheim, and many people are eager to find out if GOTG Vol. The Holiday Special or Episode 3 will feature. Things are not looking good there if we believe the man behind both projects.

No James Gunn at D23

Vol. James Gunn is the director of the first Guardians of the Galaxy film. He made a Twitter announcement stating that he would not be going to the D23 Fan Expo this year. Causing some fans to think there won’t be any Guardians-related stuff available.

Gunn said he “really wanted to be there” but was “too deep [into his] Vol. 3 edits and wedding prep” to attend when asked on Twitter by beginning whether or not the public may expect “to see anything Guardians related at D23”:

Will Guardians of the Galaxy be at D23?

James Gunn, the Guardians director, will not be present at D23. Therefore it is safe to assume that no GOTG-related content will disclose there. That claim, though, might not be unfeasible.

Before releasing the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, Marvel has only a few months. So the company will eventually need to release something. Perhaps the director would need to be present for something as significant as the first look at the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy sequel. It might not be necessary for something like The Holiday Special, one could counter, though.

Who’s to say login/begin wouldn’t follow suit with a different interstellar streaming spin-off? If Gunn wasn’t present when the I am Groot teaser was unveiled?

Additionally, another Marvel character could be lying while winking at the camera in this instance. Gunn might attend, but he’s being as evasive as he can. It would be a little out of character for the filmmaker to play a prank on the audience. Despite the fact that he tends to express his opinions quite openly.
