We’re back with another Disney+ battle. This week, an underrated gem from Disney’s Dark Age of Animation (or Animation’s first Dark Age, if you prefer) comes face-to-face with “Mulan” as “The Fox and the Hound,” one of the last films in the Disneyplus login /begin renaissance. – takes the front.” Let’s see who wins this battle. (Remember this is completely subjective.)

1. PROTAGONIST

“The Fox and the Hound” has two main characters; Fox, Todd; and Hound, Copper. One is an abandoned woodland creature adopted by an old widow. The other is a puppy adopted by a hunter who is going to train him to be a hunting dog. The pair strike up an unlikely friendship that is tested as they grow older and Copper is expected to hunt the toad. In “Mulan”, the main character is Mulan, a girl who goes to war in place of her wounded father and helps the Chinese army defeat the Huns. Each is great in its own right, but I think Mulan is a better hero. Point to “Mulan”.

2.ANTAGONIST

The villain of “The Fox and the Hound” is Amos Slade, also known as the Predator. He wants to kill Toad whom he believes is behind his chickens. Then later, he seeks revenge after his first dog, Chief, is injured while chasing Todd. While Amos is out of line trying to hunt the toad, once the fox comes to the old widow’s property, I understand that a hunter wants to hunt the fox and I understand one who has There are chickens who want to protect them. He was once one of the most underrated villains in the Disneyplus.com/begin. In “Mulan”, the villain is Hun Army General Shan Yu, who is trying to overtake China. This is a children’s film, so the political nuances could lead to war. We only look at things from Mulan’s point of view. This makes Shan Yu more of a villain than Amos Slade. Point to “Mulan”.

3. Supporting Characters

“The Fox and the Hound” features several supporting characters, including Widow, Vixie, Big Mama, Chief, Dinky, Boomer, and Squeaks. All are incredibly interesting and help propel the plot. “Mulan” also features several supporting characters, including Mushu, Li Shang, Dadi Fa, and several other members of the Chinese military. It’s hard to choose, but Mushu is better than anyone introduced in “The Fox and the Hound.” Point to “Mulan”.

4. Music

This is a somewhat one-sided category. “The Fox and the Hound” has a really cool song with “Elimination, Lack of Education”. It’s fun and Big Mama does a great job singing it. But that’s the only standout song. In contrast, “Mulan” is almost all musical, a product of the Disneyplus Begin code renaissance. “Mulan” has far better music. Point to “Mulan”.

5. Memorable Moments

It is time, once again, for the most subjective of all categories, because what is memorable to me may not be memorable to you and vice versa. Memorable moments from “The Fox and the Hound” are Widow Tweed saving Toad, Toad meeting Copper, Chief getting Hurt, Copper hunting Toad, Toad saving Copper from Bear and Copper saving Toad from Amos. There are memorable moments of “Mulan,” Mulan going to war, “I’ll make you a man,” “Disgrace on your cow,” Mulan being discovered, and the Chinese winning the war. I guess That “The Fox and the Hound is actually a more memorable film. I think “Mulan” has more to work with, but I think “The Fox and the Hound” manages to do more with less. Point to “The Fox and the Hound”.
